After seeing our posts about strengthening concrete through the use of CARBON FIBER FABRIC, OSPA-Farmers Medical Center in Ormoc City, Leyte reached out to us for assistance. After careful consideration, they decided to increase the strength of their columns because of the load and strength requirements of the building. Since Carbon Fiber Fabrics are much easier to install and lightweight, they were able to save cost, time, and labor.
When attached to the concrete with Carbon Fiber Laminating Epoxy, the Carbon Fiber Fabric provides a higher compressive strength, high load-bearing capacity, and 120,000 psi tensile strength. Compared to installing rebars for concrete jacketing, the use of Carbon Fiber Fabric is easier and more economical.
