Repair or replace?
This is one of the biggest questions that many contractors have to answer when dealing with old structures. Many structures have to be replaced entirely due to extreme deterioration, which is expensive, time-consuming, and inconvenient.
But, thanks to the wonders of construction chemicals, many structures can now endure the punishments of nature and withstand the test of time. By repairing the existing damages and adding strength to the structure, they can be serviceable again -- good as new.
In this particular project, Bhenllabien Construction, a loyal client of Buildrite, had to repair a bridge in Laguna. They chose CONFIX IJ to repair the cracks of the bridge before retrofitting it. Using our product, they made sure that all existing cracks will be repaired first before applying carbon fibers on the bridge.
Confix IJ is a two-component, low viscous epoxy injection resin. It is ideal for repairing structural cracks and eliminate cold joints in concrete. It can be used on large concrete structures as it can achieve up to 12,000 psi of compressive strength after 28 days.
