With the power of construction chemicals, it's possible to rehabilitate and extend the service life of large structures!
In this project, Engr. Danny Labordo reached out to Buildrite regarding a cost-effective solution to rehabilitate Naga City People's Mall and Public Market through retrofitting. Over the years, the beams and columns of the structure suffered from concrete spalling. So, after a several site visits together with the City Engineering Office, demos and trainings from Buildrite, the rehabilitation process started rolling.
With the partnership of our technical team and St. Bernardine Construction and Enterprises, we're able to repair all concrete spalling using RUST CONVERTER, METAL PRIMER, CONFIX HV, and CONCRETE PATCH V. Then, we used Buildrite Carbon Fiber Fabric to retrofit all the vital parts of the structure.
When attached to the concrete with Carbon Fiber Laminating Epoxy, the Carbon Fiber Fabric provides a higher compressive strength, high load-bearing capacity, and 120,000psi tensile strength. Compared to installing rebars for concrete jacketing, the use of Carbon Fiber Fabric is easier and more economical.
